a lift configured to supply loaded paper to a feed roller; a motor configured to move the lift so that the paper reaches and contacts the feed roller; a sensor configured to measure current that flows through the motor; and a controller configured to stop driving of the motor based on a result of comparing a measured level of the current with a preset reference value related to a point in time when the paper reaches and contacts the feed roller and then stops.
