The present invention relates to a side chill for casting aluminum wheel and casting mold with the same, comprising: a cooling block installed in the casting mold to contact with a rim spoke junction (RSJ) of the aluminum wheel in a vehicle; an injection port and a discharge port respectively formed to inject and discharge coolant on the cooling block; and a coolant channel formed on the cooling block to connect the injection and discharge ports in order to provide a route to move the coolant to cool the RSJ part by heat exchange. The present invention induces rapid solidification of the RSJ part by cooling the RSJ part for low pressure casting of the aluminum wheel, reducing a cycle time and allowing aligned solidification, and also reducing defects in the aluminum wheel with improved productivity. |
