According to one embodiment of the present invention, an electronic device for providing a search service during communication includes: a display unit displaying a message exchanged between the electronic device and another electronic device through the communication on an execution screen of an application in which the communication is performed; a processor extracting at least one keyword from the message based on types of words included in the message displayed on the execution screen of the application, a relationship between the words, and meanings of the words, and determining a search word of the search service by using the extracted keyword and location information of the electronic device. The display unit displays a portion corresponding to the extracted keyword used to determine the search word of the displayed message to be distinguished from other portions. |
