The present invention relates to a splint for supporting the joint and to a method for manufacturing the same. The constitution of the splint comprises: polyurethane foam (31) having the upper and lower connection parts (2a) of an outer cover (2) protecting by covering to seal an inner pad (3), welded and fixed by a thermosetting method, and having the inner pad (3) located on the upper part where the joint part of a user is placed; and a support member (32) curved to fit the shape of the joint part while having the strength supporting the joint, and located on the lower part of the polyurethane foam (31). The splint manufacturing method comprises the following steps: fixing the inner pad (3) to be layered; storing the prepared inner pad (3) inside the outer cover (2); and fixing the upper and lower connection parts (2a) of the outer cover (2) by welding in the thermosetting method by a roller (R) by supplying the outer cover (2) storing the inner pad (3) to the roller (R) of an ultrasonic welder, while a cutter (c) formed on the roller (R) cuts the outer side of the fixed upper and lower connection parts (2a). The purpose of the present invention is providing the joint supporting splint having the excellent appearance by fixing the upper and lower connection parts of the outer cover to be smoothly welded by a thermosetting method using an ultrasonic welder. |
