The present invention relates to a laundry treating apparatus. Specifically, the laundry treating apparatus comprises: a cabinet forming an exterior thereof; and a drum rotatably installed in the cabinet, in which a treatment object is accommodated. The laundry treating apparatus further comprises: a main course selection unit to select one course among a plurality of courses; a weight measurement unit disposed on the drum to measure a weight of laundry accommodated in the drum; a display unit to display a value measured by the weight measurement unit; and a control unit to drive the laundry treating apparatus according to the course selected by the main course selection unit, and control the display unit. According to the present invention, the weight of the laundry accommodated in the laundry treating apparatus (or the drum) is sensed, and the weight of the laundry according to the weight is displayed on the display unit in real time. Therefore, a user can recognize an amount of required detergent according to the weight of the laundry through the display unit in real time. |
