According to an embodiment of the present invention, a mobile terminal comprises: a sensor to sense a motion of the mobile terminal; and a communications unit to receive, from a wearable device corresponding to the mobile terminal, information regarding a motion of the wearable device, the motion of the wearable device being sensed during a time period from a start time requested by the mobile terminal. The mobile terminal further includes a controller to compare information on the motion of mobile terminal with information on the motion of the wearable device received by the communications unit to unlock the mobile terminal when it is determined that the degree of the correlation between the information on the motion of mobile terminal and information on the motion of the wearable device is at or higher than a predetermined reference. |
