A method for preventing fixation of a CVVT locking pin is disclosed. The present invention comprises: a step of comparing a preset reference value with an error value which is a difference between a position measurement value of a cam and a set target value of the cam; and a step of releasing a fixated locking pin by applying an electrical signal toward the locking pin positioned inside the cam when the number of times that the error value is larger than the reference value is larger than the reference number set in a predetermined period.
