The present invention relates to a method for producing a branch and a surgical instrument comprising a tool having a branch. The branch according to the present invention is produced by an additionally three dimensional producing process for producing a metal part (33), and comprises at least two parts, a support section (15) and functional sections (16, 17), wherein the metal part (33) is a one-piece part, and the support section (15) and the functional sections (16, 17) are seamlessly connected to each other through corresponding connecting webs (34, 35). After applying a material (26), the connecting webs are removed. The branch (11) produced thereby is dimensionally accurate and compact, and has excellent electrical, thermal and mechanical properties. |
