According to an embodiment of the present invention, an agent-based simulation apparatus may comprise: a storage unit for storing a multi-dimensional transition probability chart for event occurrence and agent data; and an execution unit for executing a simulation using the agent data and the multi-dimensional transition probability chart in accordance with predetermined simulation execution rules. Therefore, an agent-based simulation method and an apparatus for the same according to the embodiment of the preset invention determines the occurrence of an event by using the multi-dimensional transition probability chart, and thus can reduce information loss and reproduce the occurrence of an event even if it is difficult to express as a simple matrix or a function.
