SUPERABSORBENT POLYMERS AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME

The present invention relates to a superabsorbent resin and a preparation method of the same. More particularly, the present invention relates to a superabsorbent resin showing enhanced physical properties by including double crosslinking structure derived from alkylene glycol multivalent methacrylate and modified nanoclay, and to a preparation method of the same. According to the preparation method in the present invention, using modified nanoclay and alkylene glycol multivalent methacrylate as internal crosslinkers during the preparation method of superabsorbent resin can contribute to improvement in degree of crosslinking and physical properties of the absorbent resin. In addition, the superabsorbent resin comprises a crosslinked polymer of a water-soluble ethylene-based unsaturated monomer having acid groups which are at least partially neutralized, and methacrylate functional groups are introduced to the surface or edge of a modified nanoclay to constitute the crosslinked polymer.
