摘要 The present invention relates to a system and a method for providing hybrid propulsion for a floating structure, and more specifically, to a system and a method for providing hybrid propulsion for a floating structure which can relatively reduce initial installation costs and maintenance and repair costs, relatively improve system efficiency and fuel consumption efficiency, and enhance flexibility in propulsion system operation by using a dual fuel diesel electric (DFDE) propulsion device and an MAN electronic-gas injection (ME-GI) engine individually or collectively in a propulsion system. According to the present invention, the system for providing propulsion for a floating structure comprises: a DFDE propulsion device to use oil and gas as fuel to generate a drive force required for propulsion; an ME-GI engine to use the oil and the gas as fuel to generate a drive force required for propulsion; a gear box to transfer the drive force of the DFDE propulsion device and the ME-GI engine to a propeller; and a propulsion selection unit to select any one or both of the DFDE propulsion device and the ME-GI engine for propulsion.
