Disclosed is an image photographing apparatus. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the image photographing apparatus comprises: a first photographing unit for performing the photographing by using a phase difference image sensor; a second photographing unit disposed at one side of the first photographing unit while being spaced apart therefrom; a control unit for generating a first depth map by using a first image photographed by the first photographing unit, and generating a second depth map by using a second image photographed by the second photographing unit; and an image processing unit for generating a three-dimensional image by using the first and second depth maps.
