Disclosed is a battery module which has a simple structure and can be miniaturized by removing or drastically reducing a cooling space or a cooling member such as a cooling plate in the battery module. In addition, in terms of the battery module, production costs can be reduced, and efficient cooling performance is secured as well. According to the present invention, the battery module comprises: a plurality of secondary batteries arranged in a horizontal direction while standing vertically; a plurality of cartridges which comprise unit frames of which both end parts are connected to each other, accommodate the secondary batteries in an inner space between the unit frames, and are laminated by being reciprocally arranged in the horizontal direction, and in which a lower part of the accommodated secondary batteries is placed on an upper part of a lower unit frame among the unit frames; and a cooling pipe provided on an exterior of the laminated cartridges and having a hollow hole inside so as to allow cooling liquid to flow through the hollow hole. |
