HIGH QUALITY PHONE-CALLING SYSTEM AND APPARATUS USING WI-FI MODE CHANGING

The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for having a high quality phone call and, more specifically, to a method and apparatus for having a phone call using WiFi. When a phone call quality factor is calculated according to an operation mode of a current WiFi at a point of time when a phone call begins and the phone call quality factor does not reach a predetermined reference value, the operation mode is properly changed, thereby improving phone call quality. The method comprises the following steps: allowing a terminal to access a WiFi access point; beginning a phone call in the terminal; calculating a phone call quality factor when a phone call is performed by using a WiFi operation mode of the beginning point of the phone call, based on a predetermined reference, and comparing the calculated phone call quality factor with a predetermined phone call quality reference value to determine whether phone call quality is satisfied or not; and determining whether the WiFi operation mode is changed in the terminal and what is changed by reflecting the level of the phone call quality satisfaction. A WiFi protocol is included in the WiFi operation mode.
