PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejection head which can enlarge a displacement amount of a displacement element while shortening an AL (Acoustic Length), and to provide a recording apparatus using the same.SOLUTION: In the liquid ejection head, a piezoelectric actuator unit 21 is stacked on a channel member 4 which is constituted by stacking a plurality of flat plates 22 to 31 in a plurality of layers and which has a plurality of liquid ejection holes 8 and a plurality of diaphragms 12, with a plurality of liquid pressurization chambers 10 being opened to a top surface of the flat plate 22 in the uppermost layer. Each of the liquid pressurization chambers 10 consists of a through-hole formed in the flat plate 22 and the plate 23 located below the through-hole. Each of the liquid pressurization chambers 10 includes a liquid pressurization chamber body 10a which has an outer shape nearly constant in the depth direction when seen in a plan view, and a liquid pressurization chamber upper end part 10b which has a larger outer shape than that of the liquid pressurization chamber body 10a.
