PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for separating a catalyst regenerated in a catalyst regenerator from flue gas so as to avoid re-entrainment of a catalyst precipitating on a floor within the catalyst regenerator using a disengaging device.SOLUTION: A disengaging arm of a disengaging device comprises an outer shell that encloses the arm, an inner shell having a slot allowing a catalyst and flue gas to exit the arm, and an outer baffle having a lower edge located below the opening of an outer wall. The baffle downwardly guides the catalyst and flue gas to restrict a radial flow. The catalyst and flue gas enter the disengaging arm through the opening in the outer wall of a rising pipe part at a first superficial velocity and exit through a slot in a bottom of the disengaging arm at a velocity 1.33 times or less the first superficial velocity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
