COMPOSITION FOR IN VITRO MATURATION OF PIG OOCYTE

The present invention relates to a composition for in vitro maturation of porcine oocytes, containing rapamycin or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The present invention further relates to a method for in vitro maturation of porcine oocytes using the composition. The use of the composition for the in vitro maturation of porcine oocytes, containing rapamycin can promote the in vitro maturation of porcine oocytes. In addition, the success rate for the in vitro maturation of the mature porcrine oocytes increases, and the development prior to implantation of the fertilized egg produced by the in vitro maturation can be promoted as well. Further, the apoptosis of a blastocyst is inhibited. Thus, the composition of the present invention can be widely applied for effectively producing high-quality pigs.
