PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for correcting flight time drift in a mass spectrometer.SOLUTION: A method 200 comprises: a step 202 for identifying mass spectral peaks of ions in spectra; a step 204 for detecting ions having substantially the same mass across spectra; a step 206 for determining time-of-flight drift of the detected ions; and a step 208 for correcting the time-of-flight drift of the detected ions by applying a correction factor to each time-of-flight, respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
