Disclosed are a method for controlling a mobile terminal and a management server based on the location, and a recording medium for performing the same. The method for controlling a mobile terminal and a management server based on the location is a method for controlling a mobile terminal which receives authorization information according to the location from a management server. The method comprises the following steps of: receiving a beacon signal from a beacon apparatus to detect the current location of the mobile terminal; receiving the authorization information corresponding to the current location from the management server to control the operation of the mobile terminal; and providing information on where a restricted function to be operated can be used, when receiving an execution request signal for the restricted function according to the authorization information corresponding to the current location.
