摘要 The present invention relates to a manufacturing method of an air electrode using a ruthenium dioxide/manganese dioxide/carbon complex; and to an air electrode manufactured by the method. Specifically, provided is a manufacturing method of an air electrode for a lithium/air secondary battery, which comprises a step of manufacturing a ruthenium dioxide/manganese dioxide/carbon complex at a temperature of 150-200°C via a hydrothermal synthesis process, and coating a gas diffusion layer with the ruthenium dioxide/manganese dioxide/carbon complex. According to the present invention, the manufacturing method of an air electrode using a ruthenium dioxide/manganese dioxide/carbon complex, and the air electrode manufactured by the method increase the coherence between a carbon support and a catalytic active material and enhance the stability of a catalyst as a carbon-based material, rod-shaped manganese dioxide, and a ruthenium dioxide particle with a diameter of 1-5 mm are properly distributed in the air electrode. According to the present invention, the air electrode using a ruthenium dioxide/manganese dioxide/carbon complex allows manufacture of a lithium/air secondary battery showing charge/discharge characteristics of reducing overvoltage during an oxygen reduction reaction and an oxygen generation reaction and securing a long life, in comparison with an air electrode manufactured by simply and physically mixing a ruthenium dioxide/manganese dioxide complex with a carbon-based material. Therefore, the air electrode according to the present invention can be practically used as an air electrode for a lithium/air secondary battery.
