The method of providing information on viral infection comprises: a first step of preparing a dried tear sample on a substrate; a second step of measuring a Raman spectrum from the dried tear sample; a third step of extracting a Gaussian sub peak by decomposing the measured Raman spectrum; a fourth step of deducting a log value on a relative strength ratio of a peak corresponding C-H deformation and a peak corresponding to an amide III β-sheet; and a fifth step of determining that the sample is normal when the deducted value is positive, or is infected by virus when the deducted value is negative.
