A cooling tower having a white smoke abating means is disclosed. The disclosed cooling tower includes: a housing; a cooling unit which is disposed inside of the housing, converts a high temperature cooling water to a low temperature cooling water by bringing the high temperature cooling water into contact with ambient air, and includes a wet portion and a dry portion in which movement of material therebetween is restricted or blocked; a cooling water dispensing unit, disposed on the upper portion of the cooling unit, for spraying the cooling water onto at least the wet portion of the cooling unit; a white smoke generation unit which generates white smoke by contacting first air discharged from the wet portion with second air discharged from the dry portion; a white smoke collection unit, disposed inside or outside the housing, for collecting the white smoke generated from the white smoke generation unit; and an exhaust means which is disposed on the front end or rear end of the white smoke collection unit.
