An electronic cigarette performance detection apparatus and detection method, used for detecting the performance of an atomization assembly in an electronic cigarette. The electronic cigarette performance detection apparatus comprises: a glue eliminating mechanism (20), used for fixing the atomizing assembly and eliminating glue in an electric heating wire assembly; a driving power supply (23), used for driving the glue eliminating mechanism; and a resistance detector (22), used for detecting a resistance value of the electric heating wire assembly. The resistance detector (22) is electrically connected to the glue eliminating mechanism (20) and the driving power supply (23) separately. By using the detection apparatus and the detection method, the glue in a glass fiber bundle (12) can be effectively eliminated before the electronic cigarette leaves a factory so as to improve the taste of the electronic cigarette and detect the performance of an atomization assembly, so as to improve the defect-free rate of the electronic cigarette. |
