The invention relates in particular to emulsion polymerizates, which are crosslinked in an intraparticle manner by means of a hetero-Diels-Alder (HDA) mechanism. The cross-linked polymerizates can then be completely or partially decrosslinked by thermal processing, for example as a composite matrix, by a retro-DielsAlder reaction or retro-hetero-DielsAlder reaction and crosslinked again in an interparticle manner during cooling. Storage-stable prepregs for a composite can thus be provided. However, other materials that have thermosetting properties at the usage temperature but have thermoplastic processing properties at higher temperature can also be realized in this way.
