The present invention provides a SCASN phosphor having high internal quantum efficiency, a light-emitting device including said phosphor, and an image display device and an illumination device that include said light-emitting device. The present invention pertains to a phosphor indicated by formula [1], having phosphor particles having single crystallites three-dimensionally bonded therein, said phosphor particles containing crystal grain boundary triple junctions, and the total number (A) of crystal grain boundary triple junctions/the number (B) of phosphor particles being no more than 1.0.
