The present invention describes kits and methods for identifying the type of milk of a sample, in order to avoid unjustified waste and ambiguous interpretations regarding the type of milk. The kits and methods of the present invention make it possible, in particular, to carry out tests in the field to identify and differentiate quickly and effectively samples of stable milk, unstable non-acid milk and acid milk. The present invention pertains to the fields of chemistry, agriculture and animal husbandry.
