introducing, by a downhole system having a tool body, a ferrofluid source, and a magnet, ferrofluid from the ferrofluid source into an annulus between the tool body and a wellbore formation; magnetically coupling the ferrofluid with the magnet; and arranging the ferrofluid to isolate an object positioned in a wellbore from effects of fluids present in the wellbore by controlling at least one of the ferrofluid source or the magnet. |
