This data input system is provided with: a display control unit that is a display control means for causing a display screen to display a plurality of list boxes which each are configured to allow one to select an option from among a plurality of options, and which are arranged in a direction perpendicular to the direction from which the list boxes receive an input for changing the selected option in each list box; and a control unit that, when an input operation has been performed on the region of the display screen which encompasses the plurality of list boxes, determines the list box, from among the plurality of the list boxes, the displayed options of which should be changed, and also determines the direction in which to scroll options in the list box, on the basis of the location of the input point and the direction of movement from the input point indicated by the input operation. |
