An error determination unit comprising: an EGR amount acquisition unit configured so as to obtain an actual EGR amount for an EGR amount being the flow rate for EGR gas; an estimated amount calculation unit configured so as to calculate estimated EGR amounts, on the basis of a working gas pressure being the pressure of working gas having EGR gas and intake air mixed therein, EGR temperature being the temperature of EGR gas directly upstream from an EGR valve, EGR pressure being the pressure of EGR gas directly upstream from the EGR valve, and an aperture opening command value for the EGR valve; and a determination unit configured so as to determine the presence of errors relating to the EGR valve on the basis of the deviation between the actual EGR amount and the estimated amount. |
