The fluidic device includes a flow cell having inlet and outlet ports and a flow channel extending therebetween. The flow cell is configured to hold a sample-of-interest. The fluidic device also includes a housing having a reception space that is configured to receive the flow cell. The reception space is sized and shaped to permit the flow cell to float relative to the housing. The fluidic device also includes a gasket that is coupled to the housing. The gasket has inlet and outlet passages and comprises a compressible material.
