A stamping press for stamping a sheet metal part with an undercut cross-section, said press comprising an upper frame (10) vertically movable towards a fixed lower frame (11), a punch (12), a movable counter-form (13) cooperating with said punch to stamp said sheet metal part and means for moving said counter-form (13), characterised in that the punch (12) is movable between a high position and a low position and comprises means cooperating with the movable counter-form (13) to move the latter in a horizontal direction between a retracted position and an extended position, the press further comprising a movable slide (14) for controlling the movement of the counter-form (13) towards a work position in which said sheet metal part is formed, the moving of the movable punch (12) between the high position and the low position and the moving of said slide (14) being controlled by the lowering of the upper frame (10) towards the lower frame (11). |
