PURPOSE:To easily reallocate an absolute address number of a main storage device by issuing an instruction to a logical device so that all memory units of a main storage device can be continuously used from a stored program, and also, setting continuously the absolute address number of the main storage address by a logical device. CONSTITUTION:A memory unit 12 is detached by executing a detaching instruction of a memory unit. Subsequently, by executing an ENTER ISL instruction, whether absolute address numbers of the remaining memory units 11, 13...1n of the inside of a main storage device 1 after the memory unit 12 is detached are reallocated or not is checked. In order to restore a system to its original state, the memory unit 12 is integrated into the system again by a memory unit integrating instruction, and in such a case, by executing a reallocating extension decalling instruction of the absolute address number, the absolute address numbers which are allocated to the memory units 11, 12,...1n are reallocated continuously in the same way as before the evaluation. |
