Provided is an electrochemical device, capable of simply and accurately inspecting insulation. A device body (30) of the electrochemical device (1) is stored and sealed in an outer body (20). Tab leads (31, 32) are bonded with positive and negative electrodes of the device body (30) respectively. The outer body (20) is formed as thermal fusion resin layers of a laminate outer material, made by bonding a heat-resisting resin layer to a first surface of a metal foil layer and bonding a thermal fusion resin layer to a second surface of the same, is placed towards the inside. A conducting terminal part (7) without the heat-resisting resin layer is included in a part of an outer surface of the outer body (20). While an end part of the tab leads (31, 32) is withdrawn from the outer body (20), a soft part of the outer body (20) is fused with the thermal fusion resin layers of the laminate outer material. |
