The present invention relates to a tray for charging and discharging a secondary battery, and a method for charging and discharging a secondary battery. The tray for charging and discharging a secondary battery has a mounting groove into which a secondary battery cell is inserted for a charging and discharging process of the secondary battery cell using a charging and discharging pin. An inserting groove to insert a rivet protruded from an end unit of the secondary battery cell is provided on the bottom surface of the mounting groove. The secondary battery cell is inserted for the rivet to face the bottom surface of the mounting groove. According to the present invention, an external short circuit generated by the charging and discharging pin in contact with the rivet and a can at the same time according to shaking of the secondary battery cell inside the tray during the charging and discharging process of the secondary battery, can be prevented.
