Ganged Magnetic Wands

Devices known generally as magnetic wands which have a retractable magnet element within a stainless steel or plastic cylinder and which are used for pick up or recovery of iron particles are known art. Such devices are commonly used in machine workshops to pick up and then discharge iron filings and chips into waste bins. They are also sometimes used to recover iron from liquids such as oil or ceramic slips. The present innovation provides means by which a multiple of such devices may be ganged together particularly for but not limited to suspension within a liquid flow stream where the liquid is flowing within channels of different and various cross sectional shape. The invention provides for the suspended length of the magnetic wands or recovery tubes to be varied so as to suit the cross sectional profile of the channel in which the liquid, typically oil, is flowing.
