A device preventing abnormal movement of a lift cage, comprising a brake mechanism (1) installed on a crossbeam, a reset mechanism (2) provided on an end of the brake mechanism (1), and an electrical testing mechanism (3); the brake mechanism (1) comprises a casing (4); a U-shaped action jaw (5) is provided on one side of the casing (4); a T-shaped guide rail (10) is located in the U-shaped action jaw (5); an electromagnet (6) and a brake pad (7) are symmetrically disposed on both sides of the U-shaped action jaw (5); the brake pad (7) is installed on an end of the electromagnet (6), and extends out and retracts under the control of the electromagnet (6) to clamp and release the T-shaped guide rail (10); the electrical testing mechanism (3) comprises a magnetic strip (8) installed on the T-shaped guide rail (10) and a magnetic strip sensor (9) opposite to the magnetic strip (8); the magnetic strip sensor (9) is installed on the side of the casing (4) provided with the U-shaped action jaw (5). The device preventing abnormal movement of a lift cage employs a mechatronics design, and has the advantages of automatic testing, automatic identification, fast response and a short braking distance.
