Provided is a use of a polysaccharide of Dendrobium officinale in preparing drugs for treating or preventing diseases related to pulmonary inflammation, the dosage forms of the drugs being orally administered formulations, comprising orally administered solid formulations, semi-solid formulations, and orally administered liquid formulations; preferably, the orally administered liquid formulations are orally administered liquids. The inventor has proven through experiments that a rat treated with the polysaccharide of Dendrobium officinale-processed tobaccos has exhibited improvement in pulmonary injuries caused by exposure to cigarette smoke, and has exhibited an increase in the distribution of aquaporin 5 (AQP5), and a decrease in the distribution of mucoprotein 5AC (MUC 5AC), thereby alleviating pulmonary injuries caused by exposure to cigarette smoke, thus providing a drug for treating or preventing pulmonary inflammation of smoking patients.
