A system and a method for controlling an accumulator inside a transmission of a vehicle are provided. The method comprise: a step of determining whether or not a vehicle is turned off; a step of sensing one or more operation states of the vehicle; a step of comparing the operation states with a reference state; and a step of discharging the accumulator when the vehicle is turned off and the operation states of the vehicle satisfy the reference state.
