An interference cancellation method and device. In a process of executing cell reestablishment or a cell handover, for any interference cancellation parameter previously received from a network side device, a user terminal can continue to use the interference cancellation parameter to perform interference cancellation operations according to a set first interference cancellation parameter application rule or first instruction information delivered by the network side device, or release or not use the interference cancellation parameter, and therefore, the currently existing problem can be solved that a user terminal does not know how to deal with a previously received interference cancellation parameter in a process in which the user terminal executes cell reestablishment or a cell handover, thereby achieving the objective of improving the effect of interference cancellation.
