Disclosed is a retardation plate which comprises: a long base film; a mask layer that is provided on a first surface of the base film and has a light-blocking portion that blocks ultraviolet light having a wavelength of 350-370 nm (inclusive) and a light-transmitting portion that transmits the ultraviolet light, said light-blocking portion and light-transmitting portion extending parallel to each other in a certain direction and being patterned; and a liquid crystal resin layer that is provided on another surface of the base film and has patterned regions that have different in-plane retardations, said another surface being on the reverse side of the surface on which the mask layer is provided. |
