<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a therapeutic agent containing a compound (GIRK channel activation current suppressing compound) having a suppressing action on an activated current of a G-protein coupled inwardly-rectifying K+ (GIRK) channel, or optionally, other therapeutic agents for schizophrenia such as clozapine, as an active ingredient. <P>SOLUTION: The therapeutic agent for schizophrenia contains the compound (GIRK channel activation current suppressing compound) having a suppressing action on an activated current of GIRK channel such as tipepidine as an active ingredient.
