<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a satisfactory precision of binding positions in a postprocessor capable of binding at a plurality of positions. <P>SOLUTION: The postprocessor includes: rear-end reference fences 51a, 51b aligning sheets in a conveying direction of the sheets; jogger fences 53a, 53b movable between a regulating position where the sheets are aligned in the width direction Y of the sheets and a non-regulating position separated from the regulating position; a jogger fence moving mechanism reciprocating the jogger fences 53a, 53b; and a stapler S1 performing binding process at a plurality of positions of a sheet bundle PA aligned by the rear-end reference fences 51 and the jogger fences 53. For performing the binding process at a plurality of positions of the sheet bundle PA by the stapler S1, after the binding action is performed at a first position, the interval between the jogger fences 53a and 53b in the width direction Y of the sheets is opened to be wider than the regulating position by the jogger fence moving mechanism.
