The invention provides a fuel tank cap installing structure which can employ a leaf spring with lower price. A fuel tank cap (2) is composed of a hinge shaft (21), an arm part (30), a fuel tank cap main body (23) and a force application part (40). The hinge shaft (21) is arranged on a vehicle body side part (11), and is covered by the vehicle body side part (11) viewed from a lateral direction. One end (30a) of the arm part (30) is hinged to the hinge shaft (21) in a rotary mode. The fuel tank cap main body (23) is installed on the other end (30b) of the arm part (30), and can open and close an opening (15). The force application part (40) is installed on the arm part (30), and applies force to the arm part (30) in an opening direction to the fuel tank cap main body (23). With an opening and closing state of the fuel tank cap main body (23) as a standard, the arm part (30) is provided with a bending part (33) bending to inner sides in a vehicle width direction, so as to avoid the edge of the opening (15) in rotation. Meanwhile, an extending part (34) used for installing the force application part (40) linearly extends from an end (30a) of the arm part (30) towards the inner side in the vehicle width direction in a mode separating with the bending part (33). |
