A ball joint comprises an outer casing which is divided transversely into two parts 3, 4 having flanges 11, 10 by means of which the parts are connected together, and an inner bearing lining 2 of synthetic plastic material having a collar 9 which is secured between the flanges and is formed with a number of apertures through which projections 8 on at least one of the flanges extend, the projections bearing against the other flange to act as spacers. The collar 9 is connected to one of the flanges by the action of heat or by means of projections 6 which extend through openings in the flange, and may also be connected to the other flange by means of projections 13. A sheet metal spacing disc may be inserted between the flanges. |
