The present invention relates to a label precursor consisting only of one layer of plastic sheet, which is able of being stuck to a backing cloth by making simultaneous use of elevated temperature and pressure. The invention further relates to a label comprising a label precursor and data in the form of a printed text or a graphical symbol in the form of an electronic carrier.
