<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a setting space of a passenger conveyor configured to drive a footstep string formed by endlessly connecting a plurality of footsteps. <P>SOLUTION: The passenger conveyor includes: a drive shaft 2; a pair of drive shaft support mechanisms which support both ends of the drive shaft 2; and a shaft position adjustment mechanism which adjusts the axial position of the drive shaft 2. The drive shaft support mechanisms includes: a pair of side frames 4, 4 disposed facing both ends of the drive shaft 2, and a pair of support plates 7, 7 fixed to inner surfaces of both the side flames 4, 4, respectively, and having bearing holes 70 to which the ends of the drive shaft 2 are fitted. The shaft position adjustment mechanism includes a wedge member 5 interposed between each of the side frames 4 and an end surface 20 of the drive shaft 2 to press the end surface 20 of the drive shaft 2 according to movement approaching the drive shaft 2, and a shaft position adjustment bolt 6 which drives the wedge member 5 by being screwed in the direction to approach the drive shaft 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
