<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit capable of quickly supplying oil to an object to which oil is to be supplied. <P>SOLUTION: The drive unit 10 includes: a casing 12 provided with an oil reservoir 16 inside in which oil is stored; a ring gear 20 rotatably provided inside the casing 12 so as to be immersed in the oil stored in the oil reservoir 16; an oil catch tank 21 having an opening 21a provided on the top thereof, and for receiving the oil raised up by the ring gear 20 and introduced from the opening 21a; a motor cooling hole 22 provided below the opening 21a inside the oil catch tank 21 and for introducing the oil to a motor generator from the oil catch tank 21; and a trough member 23 provided between the opening 21a and the motor cooling hole 22 and for introducing the oil to the motor cooling hole 22 from the opening 21a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
