PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering assist device of a vehicle which improves stability of the vehicle without inhibiting maneuverability of a driver without adding a sensor which detects steering.SOLUTION: A steering assist device 150 of a vehicle which is driven by body weight movement comprises: drive means 90 for adding driving force to assist means 18 for mechanically assisting a motion of the vehicle; and torque calculation means 300 for calculating assist torque as the driving force based on angular velocity detected by an angular velocity sensor 78, in which the torque calculation means 300 makes assist torque Tw small in comparison with the case that a car body rate showing a behavior of the vehicle based on the angular velocity is small when the car body rate is large. |
