PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide optimal conditions for transfer bias correction of a DC component and an AC component, respectively, and prevent the occurrence of density unevenness and discharge images associated with correction of transfer bias.SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus having a DC transfer mode using DC bias and a superimposing transfer mode using superimposing bias, the superimposing bias has a waveform in which polarity that acts in a direction to transfer images and reverse polarity thereto are switched alternately, and is output by multiplying respective standard values of a DC component and an AC component by individual correction rate. |
