<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting a paint color, that allows color discrimination to be performed of a decorative material 1 with simplicity and accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: Protrusions 3 are formed on a substrate surface by means of joints 2 extended lengthwise and breadthwise, and a paint color of a decorative material 1 with the painted protrusions 3 is detected while the decorative material 1 is conveyed. In a method for detecting a paint color of a decorative material, a prescribed range of the decorative material 1 is photographed with a camera 4 and a deletion area including the joint 2 is detected and set. The deletion area is excluded from the photographed data to create processed photographed data, and color discrimination processing is carried out based on the processed photographed data. In a preferred embodiment, the decorative material 1 is three-dimensionally measured, and an area having a surface height equal to or below a threshold is detected as a low level area 20 and set to be the deletion area. In another preferred embodiment, a color area which is equal to or greater than a prescribed length in a width direction and in which a nearly the same color continues in the photographed data 5 is detected as a joint color area 21 in the width direction and set to be the deletion area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
